WASHINGTON - Force Commander United States (U.S.) in Korea, Gen. Walter Sharp said the U.S. was able to destroy the system of long-range missile North Korea (North Korea). This will be done if the communist country is considered to be doing a big threat.
This comment was submitted after U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates has warned his country will be able to hit the North's weapons state region in the next five years. Gates said this during a visit to China, North Korea's main ally.
"What we have to prepare first time is a ward. If penangkalan not walk properly, we must be prepared to respond to (fight)," Sharp said as reported by AFP on Friday (01/14/2011).
"Our alliance forces indeed have the capacity for it (destroy the North Korean missile system),"said Sharp. North Korea has three times the missile test, the last in April 2009, where one missile had passed and melandas Japanese airspace in the Pacific.
The process of diplomacy with North Korea is still stagnant. U.S. urges Pyongyang to respect previous agreements reached through negotiations six-party talks. North Korea had previously agreed to suspend its nuclear program.
