Virginia - A U.S. citizen was sentenced to prison for conspiracy to disclose national defense information to Chinese intelligence agents. The young man who speaks fluent Mandarin was sentenced to prison for four years.
U.S. Justice Department as reported by AFP news agency on Saturday (01/22/2011) states, Glenn Shriver from Grand Rapids, Michigan pleaded guilty on October 22, then on one count of conspiracy to deliver national defense information to persons who are not entitled to receive it. The 28-year-old man on trial in U.S. district court in Virginia.
Authority stated, Shriver has made contact with Chinese intelligence agents while he was studying in China in the year 2004. At the request of Chinese intelligence agents, the Shriver never tried to apply for jobs in the U.S. intelligence agency, CIA.
